Shut Down "Theatre of the World"

The latest news reports that two toads are missing from the Vancouver Art Gallery's inhumane installation "Theatre of the World" by Huang Yong Ping. Friends have inquired if I liberated them. No, I did not. The piece is designed in a way that such trouble making would be niether quick nor quiet. The most logical answer would be that they died, as it is dry as a bone in the gallery. I don't know how this news was leaked but the gallery was probably covering its ass and said the frog's were missing. Not very convincing but better than admitting you were wrong...

House of Oracles co-curator Daina just send me news that the toads are indeed alive and well. I retract my premature forecasting of their death!
Hi, Dom. Bernie and I have finally read your blog, about a week after I heard about your crusade. Well done. We went to a similar exhibit at the VAG some years ago -- perhaps 6 or 7.
Not only was the exhibit artless: it was stupid, too. We were pleased to learn about a week after our visit that the head man at the VAG had been fired for putting on such exhibits.
Yet here is his successor, putting on more of the same. When will they ever learn? When will they ever learn.
